Councilman Ron Brinson – March 22, 2020
Crisis Information Updates
Trash Collection Schedule Alert
Our City’s emergency/crisis management operations have intensified. We should all stay tuned to public health declarations. I have again appended on-line information links.
We believe this crisis will intensify over the next week. COVID – 19 is an insidiously contagious virus. Please take every precaution to protect yourself, your family, your neighbors – and the health care providers and first responders upon whom we depend.
If you need help or information, North Charleston’s service lines are active. Dial 843-740-5883 or 843-740-5887.
Police and Fire shifts are operating at normal levels with special procedures to protect our first responders.
GARBAGE AND TRASH COLLECTION SERVICE NOTICE
FOR NORTH CHARLESTON RESIDENTS IN DORCHESTER COUNTY
Weekly household garbage pickup is not affected. It will continue to be collected weekly with no anticipated disruptions in service.
Trash (which includes grass clippings, limbs, white goods, homeowner construction materials among other things) will NOT be collected next week. Public Works will resume curbside weekly “trash” collections the week of March 30 and then do pickups on an every-other week schedule. This change relates to staffing within truck-collection operations and at the landfills.
